I am Katja Murphy, a relocation professional based in Austria with experience living and working both in Austria and Ireland. With a background in social work and social management, I have developed extensive experience navigating Austrian administrative and bureaucratic processes and helping people find their way through systems that can often feel complex and overwhelming.

I also know from personal experience what it is like to relocate. Having returned to Austria after living abroad, I experienced first-hand the practical and emotional challenges of settling into a new country — even with German as my native language. This experience has given me a genuine understanding of what relocating can feel like and, importantly, what kind of support can make a difference.

As a mother of two, I also understand the particular considerations involved in relocating as a family. Throughout my professional career, I have worked in multicultural and international environments, supporting people from different backgrounds and helping bridge linguistic, cultural and practical differences.

I founded Settle In – Austria to combine this experience with my passion for helping people establish a new life in Austria. My approach is personal, practical and focused on what each client actually needs — whether you are relocating as an individual, moving with your family or supporting an employee through an international relocation.
